1. Introduction

SaathiO ("we," "our," or "us") is a product of RUSOM E-com International Pvt. Ltd., operating under the brand RUSOM AI, based in Faridabad, Haryana, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the SaathiO mobile application.

By using SaathiO, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

• Phone number — used for account creation and verification via Firebase Authentication (OTP-based)
• Display name and SaathiO ID (ODID) — your public identity within the app
• Profile information — bio, avatar emoji, profile photo (optional)
• Messages and media — text messages, voice recordings, photos, and videos you send through SaathiO's chat feature
• Thoughts and Clips — text posts, short-form videos, comments, likes, and shares you create
• Payment information — processed securely by Razorpay; we do not store your card details

2b. Information Collected Automatically

• Device information — device model, operating system, app version
• Usage data — features used, clip views, watch duration, interaction patterns
• Location — only when you explicitly enable the Live Location sharing feature (real-time sharing with chosen contacts)
• Advertising data — Google AdMob collects device identifiers for personalized ads (see Section 6)
• Push notification tokens — Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for delivering notifications

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your SaathiO account
• To enable messaging, calling (voice/video via Agora), and social features
• To display your Thoughts and Clips to other users
• To process subscription payments and creator revenue payouts
• To deliver push notifications (messages, calls, clip interactions)
• To show relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To enforce our community guidelines and prevent abuse

4. Data Storage and Security

• Authentication — Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud, encrypted at rest)
• Database — Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row Level Security, hosted on AWS)
• Video content — Bunny Stream CDN (encrypted HLS delivery, global edge network)
• Voice/Video calls — Agora RTC (end-to-end encrypted, no recording by default)
• Payments — Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant)

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

SaathiO integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

6. Advertising

SaathiO displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free features and creator revenue sharing. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

Opting out does not reduce the number of ads shown; it only makes them less targeted.

7. Creator Revenue and Payments

Creators who publish Clips may earn revenue from advertisements shown on their content. Revenue data (impressions, earnings) is stored in our database. Payouts are processed monthly via bank transfer for balances exceeding ₹500. We collect bank account or UPI details solely for payout purposes.

8. Data Retention

• Account data — retained as long as your account is active
• Messages — stored until you delete them or delete your account
• Clips — published clips are retained until you delete them; deleted clips are soft-deleted (30-day retention, then permanently removed)
• Logs and analytics — retained for up to 12 months for debugging and improvement

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app's Profile and Settings sections
• Correct your profile information at any time via Edit Profile
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Block other users to prevent them from interacting with you
• Report content or users that violate community guidelines
• Opt out of personalized advertising (see Section 6)

10. Children's Privacy

SaathiO requires users to confirm they are 13 years of age or older during account setup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Users

SaathiO is available in multiple countries. Your data may be processed and stored in India and other countries where our service providers operate. By using SaathiO, you consent to such transfer. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of SaathiO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
